Watch: Italy EURO 2020 winners return to their families

Italy EURO 2020 winners have returned to their families to begin the summer holiday and here’s how they celebrated with their loved ones.

Gigio Donnarumma was named Player of the Tournament after saving decisive penalty kicks against Spain and England. The former Milan star found over 100 people welcoming him back in his hometown Santa Maria la Carità, in the province of Naples, where the goalkeeper returned after the winning parade in Rome.

Videos of Donnarumma’s welcome at home have circulated on social media and the same is true of Federico Bernardeschi who went back to his hometown Carrara, Tuscany, to get married to his fianceé, Veronica Ciardi.

The Juventus winger arrived 40 minutes late and somehow continued to celebrate the Azzurri’s achievement with Italian fans gathering outside the church after the ceremony.

Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini will go on holiday together with their families, but Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne have also spent more time together after the Euros.
