Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in talks with Atalanta over goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, but there are other big clubs ready to compete for his signature.
The new sporting director at Spurs, Fabio Paratici, wants to bring Gollini to London, according to Calciomercato.com.
The Nerazzurri signed Juan Musso for €20m from Udinese this month and seem to be planning without Gollini, who has been targeted by several sides in Europe.
Paratici has reportedly asked about Gollini, who previously spent time at Manchester United’s academy and with Aston Villa in England
A potential move to Spurs for the 26-year-old is seen as a part of a rejuvenation process at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as Hugo Lloris only has one more year on his contract with the Lilywhites.
The report claims Spurs are hoping to sign Gollini on loan, perhaps for the next two seasons, with an option to buy the goalkeeper born in Bologna.
Atalanta are more willing to let the player leave on a permanent transfer or a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
The outlet reveals several clubs are knocking on Atalanta’s door, including Inter and Atletico Madrid, and the contact with Tottenham is ongoing, with a desire to find a solution that can satisfy the three parties involved.
