Spezia will be without striker Ebrima Colley for several weeks after he was diagnosed with an adductor injury.
The forward is on loan from Atalanta and at 21 years of age already has nine senior caps for Gambia.
He scored one goal in the Coppa Italia this season, but limped off during the weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Udinese.
A statement from Spezia confirms Colley has been diagnosed with a distractive injury to the right leg.
The hitman is undergoing physiotherapy and will be monitored throughout the recovery period.
