Serie A Preview | Milan vs. Verona: injury crisis at San Siro

Milan are going through a difficult moment of injuries and absences ahead of Hellas Verona’s visit to San Siro on Saturday night.

Goalkeeper Mike Maignan injured his wrist and could be out until 2022, prompting the Rossoneri to sign free agent Antonio Mirante.

But Ciprian Tatarusanu should start in goal against the Gialloblu, while Theo Hernandez is out with coronavirus and replaced by Fodé Ballo-Touré at left.

Rumours in Italy have suggested Davide Calabria could play at left during the France international’s absence, while Pierre Kalulu is expected to start at right already this weekend.

Simon Kjaer could also get a breather after his duties with Denmark, meaning Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli seem set to start in defence.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud are recovering from injuries, but Ante Rebic seems set to continue up front this weekend.

Verona should have Miguel Veloso in the middle, as he’s pushing for a place in the starting line-up at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Davide Faraoni has to be assessed after a knock to the knee, but he’s tipped to be at Igor Tudor’s disposal in Milan.
