Sassuolo have asked Liverpool for the availability of Marko Grujic, as Manuel Locatelli is expected to push for a move to Juventus.
Although there are bigger offers from Arsenal worth €40m, it’s widely reported Locatelli only wants the Bianconeri for the next step of his career.
Negotiations will continue between Sassuolo and Juve over the next few days, but the Old Lady will have to raise their bid, which currently stands at €30m plus youth players.
They can count on the player’s desire to come to Turin, but that will only take them so far in the talks with his club.
Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia are also reporting that Sassuolo have identified a potential replacement for Italy international Locatelli.
That would be Grujic of Liverpool, who just completed a loan spell with FC Porto.
The Serbia international is 25 years old and also had loans with Hertha Berlin, while his contract at Anfield runs to June 2023.
