Maurizio Sarri could reunite with two Napoli players if he takes over at Lazio, as Elseid Hysaj and Nikola Maksimovic are free agents.
Multiple sources confirm Sarri is on the verge of signing the two-year contract with the Aquile, worth €3.1m per season plus bonuses.
He would need to transform the current 3-5-2 system to his preferred 4-3-3 when taking over from Simone Inzaghi.
According to TuttoNapoli.net, this could mean a reunion with two players whose Napoli contracts are set to expire on June 30.
Full-back Hysaj, who can play on the right or left of defence, and centre-back Maksimovic are both available as free agents.
This would also allow Lazio to keep the costs of the transfer strategy down, as well as bring in players who already understand Sarri’s tactics.
