Report: Sarri has signed with Lazio

Maurizio Sarri has reportedly signed a two-year contract with Lazio worth €3m a season.

SportItalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports the Aquile have reached an agreement with the former Napoli and Juventus coach.

The report claims the contract has been signed and Sarri has agreed a two-year contract at the Olimpico.

Claudio Lotito has given the 62-year-old a deal worth €3m a season, but it could increase to €4m if Sarri brings the Biancocelesti back to the Champions League.

Alfredo Pedulla reveals the tactician had already been given guarantees about his staff members at Formello.

Sarri, who spent three years at Napoli, moved to Chelsea in July 2018, but returned to Italy after only one season in London.

He managed to pick up his first trophy during his stint with the Blues, and continued to win the Scudetto with Juventus in 2019-20.

Sarri has been without a job since leaving the Old Lady last summer and Juventus had to pay a penalty for not activating the renewal option in the 62-year-old’s deal in Turin.

He was then freed to sign with Lazio and SportItalia reports it’s a done deal.
