Andrea Petagna scored the winner for Napoli against Genoa yesterday and is now set to join Sampdoria on loan with an option to buy, it’s reported.
According to Calciomercato.com, talks between Napoli and Sampdoria are at an advanced stage, with the 26-year-old expected to complete an initial loan move to the Stadio Ferraris.
Petagna rescued Napoli in their 2-1 win against Genoa yesterday as he scored a late winner for Luciano Spalletti’s side.
However, that could be his last goal for the Partenopei.
According to the report, Atalanta had also made an attempt to sign Petagna, but Sampdoria are ahead of La Dea in the race to sign the Italian forward on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.
Petagna joined Napoli from SPAL for €16m in 2020. He has six goals in 38 appearances with the Partenopei.
