Javier Pastore’s agent confirms a move to AS Monaco ‘is a possibility’ for the Roma outcast, who has been excluded by Jose Mourinho.
When new coach Mourinho announced his squad for pre-season training, Pastore was one of several players – along with Federico Fazio and Pedro – who weren’t even included.
They have been told to find themselves another club and Pastore could be heading back to France after his time at Paris Saint-Germain.
“Monaco is a possibility,” agent Marcelo Simonian told LaRoma24.it.
“It’s a club that the player likes and that could be right for his situation.”
The Argentina international was in France yesterday, attending the wedding of former PSG teammate Marco Verratti.
Pastore recently turned 32 and joined Roma from Paris Saint-Germain for €24.7m in 2018, but barely played due to injuries and poor form.
He made just 37 competitive appearances for the Giallorossi in three seasons, scoring four goals.
That includes just five games for a total 77 minutes of football last term, but his contract at the Stadio Olimpico is set to run until June 2023.
