Nahitan Nandez reportedly wants to join Inter, but Cagliari are asking for the €36m release clause in the Uruguayan’s contract.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the midfielder’s agent Pablo Bentancur spoke with Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio yesterday, confirming the will of the midfielder to join the Nerazzurri.
But the report reveals Cagliari are not willing to give any discounts for the Uruguayan and are asking for the €36m that will trigger a release clause in his deal at the Sardegna Arena.
The operation started when the Rossoblu asked for and got Dalbert Henrique, and the same path is expected to be followed by Radja Nainggolan.
French midfielder Lucien Agoume is also mentioned as a possible makeweight to convince the Casteddu, even on a permanent deal, according to the newspaper.
Inter need to convince Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini and the decisive meeting is expected next week.
Initially, however, the Nerazzurri can only complete a loan deal with an option to buy Nandez.
