Milan are reportedly pushing to sign Kaio Jorge from Santos without waiting for him to become a free agent in January.
According to Calciomercato.com, the 19-year-old centre-forward is the focus of negotiations between the two clubs.
His contract with Santos only runs to December 2021 and Santos would like to bring in circa €10m to sell him over the summer.
However, the Rossoneri are now the favourites ahead of Juventus, Napoli and Lazio in the race for the Brazilian talent.
Kaio Jorge scored six goals in 10 caps for Brazil at Under-17 level.
He found the net six times and provided three assists in 23 competitive games for Santos.
Milan have already secured a deal for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud worth €1m plus €1m in bonuses and he is due to fly in tomorrow for his medical on Friday.
Along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Rossoneri have a very mature front line, so director Paolo Maldini confirmed to DAZN that the intention is also to bring in a “younger” forward.
