‘It’s coming Rome’, best moments from Italy’s EURO 2020 celebrations

Italy won the second European Championship in their history, beating England on penalties at Wembley Stadium.

An early Luke Shaw goal put the Three Lions ahead, but Leonardo Bonucci levelled the score in the second half, while Gigio Donnarumma was decisive in the shoot-out, saving two of them and sparking the Azzurri’s celebrations from Wembley and all over Italy.

Leonardo Bonucci and Jorginho sang ‘It’s coming Rome’ in the dressing room. The Juventus defender had explained how the English motto ‘It’s coming Home’ motivated the Azzurri ahead of the Final.

Daniele De Rossi, one of Roberto Mancini’s staff members and a 2006 Italy World Cup winner, joined the players with a head-to-head dive in the dressing room at Wembley, but there are many more memorable moments from last night’s celebrations.
