UEFA has appointed Russian referee Sergei Karasev to oversee the match between Italy and Switzerland on Wednesday.
After the 3-0 win over Turkey on Friday, Italy prepare for their second game in Group A of Euro 2020 against Switzerland.
The match will take place at the Olimpico and kicks off at 20.00 UK time, with Russiand Karasev at the whistle.
He has two previous encounters with Italian teams this term, as he oversaw Granada vs. Napoli and Ajax vs. Roma, both in the Europa Legue.
He was the match official when Roberto Mancini’s men won 2-0 over Greece in the Euro 2020 qualifiers, when Jorginho and Federico Bernardeschi scored the goals.
Sky Sport Italia recalls he was also at the whistle when Daniele De Rossi scored the winner in Italy’s 1-0 win over Bulgaria in Euro 2016, and when Giampiero Ventura’s men beat Israel 3-1 in the World Cup qualifiers.
