Allegri: ‘Juve will figure out how to replace Ronaldo’

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri says the Bianconeri will figure out how to replace Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch and urges his team to snatch their first win in Serie A this season.

The Bianconeri begin the post-Ronaldo era with a home game against Empoli. It kicks off at 19.45 UK time at the Allianz Stadium.

Paulo Dybala and Federico Chiesa start up front for the Old Lady with Alvaro Morata on the bench.

The Portuguese ace has made a shock return to Manchester United for a reported €28m fee, including bonuses.

Moise Kean will have his medicals with the Serie A giants tomorrow, but how will Juventus replace Ronaldo?

“We’ll figure out on the pitch, we need to obtain our first victory anyway,” Allegri told DAZN.

“We left two points against Udinese and we are happy to play in front of our fans tonight. They will surely help us, we have this game before the international break, after which there will be many important games, it will be an exciting month.”

Manuel Locatelli starts on the bench with Rodrigo Bentancur and Adrien Rabiot in the middle of the park.

“He [Locatelli] lacks condition, he arrived after a month of training, so he needs some time to get fit. He’s been working quite well, he will join the national team afterwards, but he is suspended for the first game, so he’ll have some time to work and find the best shape after the break.”

Juventus picked up a 2-2 draw against Udinese in their Serie A opener last week.
