Manchester City could reclaim the Premier League title this weekend and it may be champions Liverpool who seal it for them.
City have enjoyed a stellar season once again and have run away with the title race in recent weeks.
They won their fourth straight Carabao Cup crown last Sunday and could now make it a double with the top-flight title this weekend.
Two more wins would seal City’s triumph but they could get it done before that if results go their way. Here’s how…
When can Man City win the title?
Manchester United are second in the table and their drab stalemate with Leeds last weekend means City are 10 points clear going into the next set of Premier League fixtures.
United can now only get a maximum of 82 points this season should they win all their remaining matches.
City go into this weekend’s games with a superior goal difference of 16 over United meaning that five points would effectively secure the title. Two wins and six points would confirm it.
City play Crystal Palace on Saturday before hosting Chelsea on May 8
But matches this weekend could end the title race early.
Should City win at Selhurst Park and then United lose at home to Liverpool on Sunday, Guardiola’s men will regain the Premier League trophy.
City are also still competing in the Champions League and take on Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of Europe’s elite competition.
Clinching the Premier League title this weekend would give them the perfect boost ahead of their second leg tie against PSG at the Etihad next week.
