Manchester City could reclaim the Premier League title on Sunday and it may be champions Liverpool who seal it for them.
City have enjoyed a stellar season once again and have run away with the title race in recent weeks.
They won their fourth straight Carabao Cup crown last Sunday and could now make it a double with the top-flight title this weekend.
One more win would seal City’s triumph but they could get it done before that if results go their way. Here’s how…
When can Man City win the title?
Manchester United are second in the table and City’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday means they are 13 points clear.
With City on 80 points, United can now only get a maximum of 82 points this season should they win all their remaining matches.
City have a superior goal difference of 18 over United, meaning that two points would effectively secure the title. One win and three points would confirm it.
But United vs Liverpool could end the title race early.
Should United lose at home to Liverpool on Sunday, Guardiola’s men will regain the Premier League trophy.
City are also still competing in the Champions League and take on Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of Europe’s elite competition.
Clinching the Premier League title this weekend would give them the perfect boost ahead of their second leg tie against PSG at the Etihad next week.
