West Brom’s bid for an unlikely Premier League survival bid suffered a huge setback as they failed to close things out against Aston Villa, the Villa Park clash finishing 2-2.
A stoppage-time strike from Keinan Davis, who capitalised on some indecisive defending from Kyle Bartley, ensured both sides shared the spoils.
It looked like Sam Allardyce’s side were going to claim the win as Mathueus Pereira’s penalty cancelled out Anwar El Ghazi’s earlier spot-kick and an own goal by Tyrone Mings put the Baggies in front.
But Davis had the final say to make it 2-2. The result leaves West Brom nine points off safety with five matches left.
