Teofimo Lopez has vowed to knock out both Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis ‘with one punch’ if he ever gets the chance to fight them.
The undisputed lightweight champion returns to the ring on Saturday night to face IBF mandatory challenger George Kambosos Jr in New York.
A multitude of different reasons have meant fans have been deprived of watching ‘The Takeover’ in action, with his last fight taking place just over a year ago when he defeated Vasyl Lomachenko.
After being struck down with COVID, former fight promoters Triller then pulled out of two further dates before DAZN and Eddie Hearn of Matchroom stepped in to provide a platform for one of boxing’s brightest stars.
That’s not to say the 24-year-old has remained quiet on the sidelines. In October, he clashed with Haney at Mikey Garcia’s shock defeat to Sandor Martin and also called out Davis in June for ‘ducking him’.
And now, just days before his ring return, Lopez insists he wants to face both men and predicted explosive ends to both fights.
“I would do either or, I think they are both great fights for me,” Lopez told talkSPORT’s Michael Benson.
“Any fight that I face with these guys is going to be a great fight.
“Everybody wants to tune in to see me fight these guys and I believe that they want to see their guys fight me.
“So I don’t see any problems with this and whoever they put in front of me, I will beat them.”
“Just line them up,” he added. “You could line them up altogether and I will knock them out with one punch.
“We cut that ‘Four King’s’ BS and we push it to the side.”
