Sean O’Malley risks wrath of Dana White by helping Jake Paul for Tyron Woodley fight – despite being contracted to UFC

Sean O’Malley may want to avoid bumping into UFC boss Dana White for the foreseeable future after admitting he would help train Jake Paul for his fight with Tyron Woodley.

White has a personal vendetta against the YouTube star, even threatening legal action against him for trying to coax UFC fighters into fighting him.

Paul has continuously irked the UFC chief, meaning O’Malley’s comments are unlikely to go down well

Paul knocked out Ben Askren back in April and has since signed to fight Woodley, a former UFC welterweight champion, following his release from the promotion.

The 24-year-old burst into a tirade at White at the press conference to promote the fight, insisting White does not pay his fighters fairly, just days after the UFC boss admitted Woodley is likely to get beaten as he is ‘past-his-best’.

Yet the latest comments from bantamweight contender O’Malley are unlikely to sit well with the 51-year-old as ‘Suga’ admitted to The Schmo he was ‘inspired’ by Logan Paul fighting Floyd Mayweather.

“I love it. I’m inspired by them,” O’Malley said. “When I got into the UFC, into fighting, I wanted to be an entertainer.

“That’s kind of like the title I wanted to be known. I want to be an entertainer. My form of entertaining is fighting.

“These guys are entertainers in their industries and they’re coming over and just entertaining in boxing. I love it. I’m a huge fan of Jake, huge fan of Logan.

“A lot of people hate it. I was excited. I watched the fight,” O’Malley added. “I was shaking.

“I was ready for Logan to somehow crack him. He didn’t. Floyd’s a legend. Floyd’s an animal. Floyd looked tiny in there against Logan. Logan looked huge.

“You know, props to Logan, props to Floyd – both legends in their own (right) –  but I love it. I love what they’re doing.”

With both Mayweather and Logan Paul earning ridiculous sums of money from the exhibition bout, the attention turns to August 28 and his younger brother.

Although it is just his fourth professional boxing bout, Paul is facing a 39-year-old who has never boxed before and who has lost all four of his last fights in convincing fashion.

Even though he has never struggled in his previous three bouts, Woodley represents a serious step-up in quality for the social media star and O’Malley is willing to offer any assistance he can.

O’Malley became a viral sensation for his performance on the Dana White Contender Series

“I’m very excited for that fight,” O’Malley added. “I don’t watch boxing. I literally, I just don’t watch boxing.

“I’m not interested in it. It doesn’t excite me. If a big fights coming up I don’t watch it. I watched Jake vs. Ben. I watched Logan vs. Floyd, and I’m going to watch Jake fight Tyron. I’m super excited for that fight stylistically.

“I think Jake can get the job done. I do. I like Tyron. I’m a huge fan of Tyron but, I’m boys with Jake. I actually might go out to Puerto Rico towards the end of his camp.

“Go out there and train with them a little bit, hang out. Good fight. I’m going to watch it, I’m excited.”
