Logan Paul to MMA? Dan Hardy tells Bellator president Scott Coker to book against Michael ‘Venom’ Page as YouTube star eyes switch after Floyd Mayweather fight

Dan Hardy believes Michael ‘Venom’ Page would be the perfect opponent for Logan Paul if he decides to move into the world of MMA.

The YouTube star went eight rounds with Floyd Mayweather on Sunday evening in an exhibition bout which surprised plenty, especially given the disparity in skill levels.

However, Paul has always maintained an interest in MMA and even criticised his own brother, Jake, for taking shots at the UFC due to his dream of one day competing for the company.

As a gifted wrestler in both high school and college, the 26-year-old was ranked fifth in the OHSAA State Championships back in 2013, during his final year of high school.

Paul later joined the wrestling team at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and qualified for OHSAA Division I Individual Championships in 2013. As an NCAA-Division 1 recognised school, this is no joke.

Bellator president Coker insisted he would ‘absolutely’ let the older Paul brother fight for Bellator if he so wanted to, with Dan Hardy adamant ‘MVP’ is the man to welcome him to MMA.

A British striking sensation competing in the welterweight division, Page has an exciting style with 12 knockouts from 19 wins, and the charisma to hold his own in the trash talking department.

And Hardy believes it makes perfect sense to pit the two mavericks against one another.

He wrote on Twitter: “Call me crazy, but I’d want to see @LoganPaul v @Michaelpage247 in the @BellatorMMA cage! I might even do a breakdown on it! Get it done, @ScottCoker!”
