Lionel Messi hugs old rival Sergio Ramos in new Paris Saint-Germain training video, while Kylian Mbappe tweets welcome message

Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos hugging each other would have seemed impossible not so long ago. But you should never say never, especially in football though.

The pair shared a friendly embrace on Messi’s first day of training as a Paris Saint-Germain player.

Like Messi did, Ramos also joined the French giants on a free transfer this summer, leaving them with an incredible team this season.

Messi was welcomed with open arms by all his new teammates during his first training session.

Below you can see the video of Messi at PSG’s training ground, including that famous hug with Ramos.

Mbappe also sent Messi a welcome message on social media, tweeting: “Welcome to Paris, Léo.”

Messi revealed his excitement at playing alongside Mbappe, as well as former Barcelona teammate Neymar.

In his official unveiling, Messi told the media: “It’s really crazy and I’m very happy sharing with them [Neymar and Mbappe].

“There have been some amazing transfers, the team is incredible. I just want to train, I’m playing with some of the best players in the world.

A Messi, Neymar and Mbappe front three will be terrifying for opponents

“Of course I’ve got some friends here. When you see the squad you really want to play with them as there are so many possibilities to get what you want.

“We’ve got the same goals, now we’re together with Neymar and the rest of the team I hope we can make it. I know Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes but Neymar was of course important in me signing.”
