Brooks Koepka mocks Bryson DeChambeau for driver comments at The Open as long running feud continues

Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau’s long running feud continued at The Open this week.

Two of golf’s biggest stars have made no secret about their dislike for each other and Koepka could not resist the chance to mock his rival when the opportunity presented itself.

Both are playing at Royal St George’s in Sandwich this week in the 149th Open Championship, with both making the cut.

DeChambeau makes as many headlines for his actions off the course as he does on it.

This time, he declared ‘my driver sucks’ after making just four of 14 fairways on the opening round.

This prompted a furious response from Cobra tour operations manager Ben Schomin, who said: “It’s painful when he says something that stupid.”

DeChambeau did later apologise and did enough in his second round to scrape making the cut.

Koekpa is having a much better week with rounds 69 and 66 left his six shots of leader Louis Oosthuizen.

Speaking after his second round, Koepka told Golf Channel reporter Todd Lewis: “Drove the ball great, love my driver.”

He then took to Twitter to post a picture of himself with the comment: “Driving into the weekend.”

The feud appears to not be going away anytime soon and we are all here for it.
