Bayern Munich have a habit of transforming the bodies of their star players.
Robert Lewandowski was one of the first to really show the effects as he went from a scrawny striker who was once wanted by Blackburn to earning the nickname ‘The Body’.
It has helped him on the pitch as well as he is still one of the most feared strikers in world football as he approaches his 33rd birthday.
Leon Goretzka was the next Bayern star to go viral when he posed topless with the Champions League photo in 2020.
The Germany midfielder packed on the muscle during lockdown last year, and was the envy of some of his former teammates.
Now Alphonso Davies seems to have benefitted from the workout regime at the Bundesliga giants.
The 20-year-old has been a revelation with Bayern, but suffered an ankle injury during Canada’s Gold Cup preparations four weeks ago, and has since been undergoing rehabilitation in Munich.
The club tweeted that he had returned to training this week, but gave no time frame about his return.
But it was a picture on Instagram that caught the eye, showing the Canadian absolutely ripped and has been liked more than half a million times.
He joined Bayern in January 2019 and was just a skinny teenager at the time.
The last two-and-a-half years has shown the Bayern effect has really made its full impact on the defender.
