Adama Traore slaps BABY OIL on his arms so defenders can’t grab Spain star as he runs past them

Any full-back lining up against Adama Traore at Euro 2020 will know they’re in for a game as he boasts blistering pace and scary strength.

And if the Wolves star features for Spain this summer, fans may well notice he’s a little greasier than usual.

Adama Traore is a slippery customer

During recent seasons, Wolves medics have come up with a ploy to protect the forward by smothering his arms in BABY OIL before matches.

Backroom staff at the Premier League club have been seen plastering the 25-year-old’s muscly arms with the oil and Spain will no doubt take up that tactic too.

It was employed as a solution to prevent beaten defenders from tugging at Traore’s arms after he’s slipped past them.

This tactic to slow his pace was causing more problems for his already troublesome shoulder – Traore dislocated it in a match at home to Tottenham in December 2019.

His shoulder has popped out a further four times since.

So in an attempt to protect the player, Wolves came up with this potentially genius solution.

A Wolves insider confirmed to The Sun: “It’s something we’ve had to do to protect Adama.

“Defenders are so worried about him getting away from them with his pace they were reaching out and tugging at his arm.

“That was causing the shoulder to pop out during games.

“Lubricating his arms makes it harder for opponents to grab him and helps prevent further damage.”

Traore is part of Spain’s 23-man squad for Euro 2020 and they take on Sweden in their Group E opener on Monday night.
