Having seen interest from La Liga club Real Betis earlier in the window, L’Équipe reported yesterday that Lyon had also made an inquiry for Rennes midfielder Banjamin Bourigeaud.
However, as reported by RMC today, Rennes manager Bruno Génésio insists he has heard nothing from OL in relation to the now 27-year-old former Lens player.
Génésio explained Bourigeaud is “not an available player and Lyon are used to doing things the right way, I think that if they were interested in Benjmain Bourigeaud, we at the club would know… No one told me that Lyon were interested in Benjamin. They would have contacted us first before making contact with the player. I hope so, in any case”.
